This full home renovation project in Innisfil required us to gut out the 1800 sqft house completely. Throughout the house, our contracting crew installed over 80 pot lights and added brand new baseboards, trim, and drywall. All walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and baseboards saw a fresh coat of paint. As the photos illustrate, the entire house was revamped by applying a change in color! For our Innisfil homeowners, they were elated with their new custom kitchen, notably the waterfall island and backsplash quartz features.
Basements are notorious for low temperatures. To accommodate this particularly cold space, we removed the old carpet, added a layer of DMX to improve air circulation under the floors, and added another layer of 3/4 inch plywood on top of that for additional warmth. Next, we laid down laminate flooring, the best option for covering a basement floor because it prevents water from causing damage and is a surface easy to cleanup. Finally, we remodeled a 3-piece bathroom.
Moving on up to the main floor, the most notable renovation is the brand new custom kitchen. In addition are new hardwood flooring throughout the house, brand new custom stairs and railings, restructuring of old stairs and railings, and large format tiling in the kitchen floating to the bathroom.
We transformed the main bathroom by rearranging the layout and moving all the roughings and supply lines from a 4 piece bathroom to what you see here! This includes a large 8 foot by 4 foot stand shower, with a large 2’x2′ foot rain shower from the ceiling, a seamlessly tiled 6-foot long drain channel, 4 niches, large format tiles inside the shower, a 1 piece toilet, a floating vanity, a new bathroom fan, anti-fog and lit mirror, and the whole bathroom is waterproof!
When viewing the master bathroom, you can see we moved roughings and supply lines to create a large 6-foot long stand shower, a rain shower from the ceiling, a 5 foot long tiled seamless drain channel, large format tiles inside the shower, a stand-alone tub, a floating double sink, a new bathroom fan, and an anti-fog and lit mirror.
The transformation we created wouldn’t be possible unless we demolished the majority of the house. After doing so, we were able to take this 1800 sqft house and renovate it:
